Balloon races: Frequently
Asked Questions
…back
Q. How long will it take to inflate the balloons?
A. It depends how many balloons you have and
how many people will be helping you. It is safest to assume
that they will take 1 minute each balloon (some people will
inflate quicker, some slower – this is an average
time only).
Q. Is it safe for the environment?
A. Yes all materials we supply for a balloon
release are 100% biodegradable latex balloons and paper
race labels.
Q. How long does it take to order?
A. We recommend that you allow yourself plenty
of time in advance of your release to fill out race labels
etc – so a month is comfortable for that. We would
then deliver helium a few days in advance. However if you
are less organised we can turn everything around in a week
where needed.
Q: How much do I sell the tickets for?
A. The cost of the ticket is up to you and
how much you think your target customer will spend and what
prizes are on offer. Perhaps work out what you would be
prepared to spend on one yourself!
Q. What should we do with regards to prizes?
A. The prize is up to you – whether
you want to get something from the profits from the event,
or a prize donated by a local business. Most people will
do a prize for the ticket that has travelled the furthest
and the person finding it.
Q. Can we print the balloons or labels with
our logo?
A. Yes we can – but it will add to the
cost of the pack – call the number below for a quote.

Q. Are the labels printed with my address?
A. No, we supply a standard label –
Click here to see the label – but we can get anything
added at an additional cost, call the number below for a
quote.
Q. Do I tie the label on with string/can I
use valves and ribbons?
A. NO! The labels come with a hole punched
in them, and the neck of the balloon pushed through this.
String and plastic valves would not be environmentally safe
to use in a release.
